Blaster
is a sadistic and manipulative Autobot commander who delights in tormenting his
enemies and subordinates alike, although he tends to display affability until
faced with insubordination. He detests Soundwave, but isn’t content to
defeat the Deception morale officer. Instead, he creates elaborate plots to
humiliate his hated foe with the goal of achieving a torturous revenge against
both Soundwave and Blitzwing
as comeuppance for his banishment to the moon.
Blaster is highly intelligent
and a skilled commander, however his tendency hold grudges and his obsession
with personal vengeance take his focus away from advancement in the Autobot
ranks. In addition, his interest in Earth
music originating in the he Classical period is regarded by many of
his allies as a bizarre perversion and Rodimus has commented that he
sees “that wimpy freakshow” as no threat to his own ambitions. In fact, the
Autobots in general tend to see Blaster as little more than a glorified “walking
comm-link”, excepting his own Cassette Warriors of course. Blaster himself does
little mitigate this view as long as he is obeyed, but Optimus Prime knows full
well what Blaster is capable of and how to employ his sonic mastery to best
effect.

Blaster experiences weakness
in boombox mode and is more likely to be thrown great distances or otherwise
taken out of commission due to force or strength effects; As a Cybertronian, Blaster
can suffer power loss from electrical
effects; Blaster’s rivalry with his enemy Soundwave often influences his
decision making

Blaster can open his chest compartment as a standard action and can then
continue to hold it open on subsequent rounds with a free action. Any
Mini-Cassette character adjacent to Blaster can enter it as a move action
unless they are unable to transform into cassette mode.
Cassette Warriors stored within Blaster’s chest compartment can exit it
adjacent to Blaster as a move action while it is open.
If a Decepticon Mini-Cassette wishes to enter
Blaster’s chest compartment (and he is unwilling to let them) then that
character must succeed a Close Attack: Unarmed Check to forcibly enter.
A restrained or bound Decepticon Mini-Cassette character can also
be placed into Blaster’s chest compartment. If Blaster then closes his chest
compartment, that character is immediately considered bound as long as blaster
uses a free action each round to continue to hold them. Escape attempts by a Decepticon Mini-Cassette bound inside Blaster’s chest compartment suffer a -5
circumstance penalty.
Stored Mini-Cassette characters change mass with Blaster if he should
transform.

As a free action, Blaster can employ his Finely Tuned Audio Receptors.
While he maintains this power, he gains ultra-hearing and his auditory senses
becomes accurate, analytical and extended. Perceptions checks made using
hearing only suffer a -1 penalty per 1,000 ft.
In addition, he has perfect
pitch and can duplicate a musical note with his voice
or any sonic power.
Note: This power represents two distinct effects packaged together for
thematic reasons; they are not linked. If the cost of these separate effects
becomes important (due to a power stunt or Weaken effect, for example) they are
respectively a 1 point permanent effect and a 6 point sustained effect.

Blaster’s
electro-scrambler can fire destructive electrical force with a Damage rank of 7
and a +2 bonus to attack rolls. Alternately, the weapon fires disruptive waves
of electromagnetism which inflict the impaired and vulnerable conditions (if
they fail a Fortitude resistance check) or the disabled and vulnerable conditions
(if they fail a Fortitude resistance check by two or more degrees).

Fortitude (Symphony of Destruction)
Description
“Eff yoo vill allow mee, mien
grober meister… Munnbaze Vwonn, comm enn. Prreparr to resseve yoor lourrdt und
maassterr; Optdeemus Prrimm!”
Broadcast allows Blaster to communicate over a great distance using radio
(AM, FM, and short-wave radio bands, micro-waves). This communication can be
point-to-point, omni-directional or anywhere in between. It occurs
instantaneously to all chosen subjects within approximately 4,000 miles. The
recipients of Blaster’s Broadcast must be within range and have a means of his
transmission (a radio Sense effect or radio receiver). Blaster can also receive
radio communication within range. Receivers can choose to ignore Blaster’s
broadcast, if they wish.
Blaster’s Broadcast can be scrambled at his option and cannot be detected
by unintended recipients except by characters possessing a sonic Awareness
Sense.
Note: This effect is language-dependent; Blaster must share a common
language with the subject.
“Ooh nein, Zoundvave… yoo vill
nott bie callingk oponn yuurr Deceptikon kommradts! Ziss tymm, ett vill oonlie
bie yoo und Eie…”
Blaster can activate Disruption as a standard action by making a
Technology skill check. For each point by which the result exceeds 15, Blaster
can use one rank of Disruption. If the check fails, Blaster’s standard action
is wasted.
On a successful check, Blaster then makes a power check (using his
effective Disruption rank) and compares the result against the effect rank of
all sonic effects inside a 250 ft. radius sphere centered on Blaster. All effects
which achieve a check result lower than Blaster’s turns off. However, if
Blaster loses the opposed check with two or more degrees of failure, trying
again against the same subject in the same scene requires him to use extra
effort.
Disruption continues to suppress effects caught within the initial burst
radius while Blaster concentrates as a standard action. The user of the
countered effect may use extra effort to gain another opposed Nullify check. If
successful, the effect can be reactivated.
Blaster’s Symphony of Destruction fills the air with the deafening sounds
of classical music, usually of Germanic origin. Blaster makes an Expertise:
Clazzical Musik check and may use 1 rank of his Affliction effect for each
point by which the result exceeds 10 (up to 10 ranks with a check result of 20
or higher). If the check fails, Blaster’s standard action is wasted.
On a successful check, Blaster selects a 30-ft. sphere shaped area within
a range of his effective rank x 100 feet. All characters within the affected
area must succeed a Dodge resistance check (DC 10 + effect rank) to avoid the
worst effects of this sonic assault.
Each target then attempts a Fortitude resistance check against a DC 10 +
effect rank (DC 10 + half effect rank an a successful Dodge resistance check).
Targets who fail become hindered (failure by one degree) or prone (failure by
two degrees).
Affected targets make a new Fortitude resistance check at the end of each
turn to recover from these conditions.
Blaster also gains a +11 bonus to his Intimidation skill checks and the
benefits of the Startle advantage whilst he plays his music loudly in boombox
mode.
•Blaster can generate music
and sound effects with a classical theme
•Blaster can amplify his
voice (negating up to a -20 circumstance penalty to be heard due to distance)
Note: This power represents three distinct effects packaged together for
thematic reasons; they are not linked. If the cost of these separate effects
becomes important (due to a power stunt or Weaken effect, for example) they are
respectively a 36 point array, a 4 point sustained effect and a 2 point
permanent effect.

Description
“To mee mie minonnss!”
Stored Mini-Cassette characters change mass with Blaster if he should
transform.

In boombox mode, Blaster can playback an audio recording of any event he
has experienced allowing other characters to hear it. This also grants Blaster
the benefits of the Eidetic Memory advantage.
Note: This power represents two distinct effects packaged together for

himself and the subject using his auditory senses.
In addition, Blaster has ultra-hearing, perfect
pitch, can hear the use of effects with the sonic
descriptor, and his auditory senses counters Concealment effects; he can hear
things which would otherwise be silent.
Note: This power represents two distinct effects packaged together for
